Hello, all.
I ran across the following situation and was wondering if anyone else has
seen it:
select test_column, test_serial
from test_table
where test_serial = 123456
union
select test_column_2, test_serial
from test_table_2
where test_serial_2 = 123456
returns the following:
test_column test_serial
ES ' 123456
The data in test_column = "RES" and there is no row present in test_table_2.
If I switch the selects to different sides of the union I get the same results,
but if I switch the data (delete row from test_table and insert into test_table_2)
the returned data is correct:
test_column test_serial
RES 123456
We are running Informix 5.03 on an RS-6000 (980).
Any advice ( other than not using a union ;-) ...) would be greatly appr.
Ron.
