Data xfer is only one-way, from the db to a dataset format via a 4gl which does all the formatting and file delimiting and such. We are getting away from these tools, however, in favor of PC-based "seamless" data extractors such as Q+E and MS Access. Whether these products will be able to work with SAS remains to be seen. In summary, our version of one-way xfer is not too hard, but there may be better tools available than we're using. :) Good Luck, __________________________________________________________________ | Clem Akins Standard Disclaimers Apply | | Reynolds Metals Co.
