informix se and stored procedures

I am using informix se on a linux box and wanted to create some procedures for the database. It is not clear as to where I can initiate the SPL files or save them. Is this function possible in SE or not? And if it is possible, what do I need to do to use this function when I am using the database? Please help! SE supports stored procedures, essentially the same as OnLine does.
To create the procedures, you have to make SE execute the CREATE
PROCEDURE statement. You can do this by writing the statement in
an procname.sql and then running this with DB-Access (but not ISQL!).
You could obtain the SQLCMD program from the IIUG (http://www.iiug.org)
and compile the MKPROC program. You could then use that to run the
CREATE PROCEDURE statement contained in a file procname.spl. Youcould compile and use the SQLCMD program itself.
As to executing stored procedures, you can do this with the EXECUTE
PROCEDURE statement (in DB-Access and SQLCMD; ISQL will only do this
reliably if the procedure returns no data). You can also use a
procedure which returns a single value in an expression in any
SQL DML statement.
