Hi, We use cooked file , Linux, IDS 11.70 . DIRECT_IO was not enabled. After We enabled DIRECT_IO, the database restore job is two times faster . I expect it would improve all other IO jobs too, fair expectation? Any experienced possible negative things related to DIRECT_IO ? Thanks Frank
