We want to run IDS on Solaris 7 on our Sun UltraEnterprise 3000. In several recent conversations with Informix we have been told that the product does exist, that it doesn't exist, that it will exist in 3rd quarter, that it did exist but was recalled, and that it will be reissued in June 1999. All this information came directly from the horse's mouth. (Informix). We're starting to think that the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. We would like to obtain the 64 bit version of IDS 7.31, if it exists. We have had to ask Informix repeatedly in phone calls about this. Informix has not volunteered anything, nor communicated with us in any way, except in phone conversations that we have initiated. These phone calls have not been very satisfying.
