I believe that as far as Informix is concerned, you can upgrade to Informix SE 7.13 without changing the operating system. I know it is true for Informix Online 7.13. Installing the new version of Informix and converting the existing database was pretty straightforward. It may be transparent to the user, but it may drive you crazy before the user ever sees it. <grin> Seriously, we chose to hold the operating system stable while we were upgrading the database. I suspect that we will go back sometime later and upgrade the operating system. I don't know if this the best approach, but it seems to be working. > Randall Young ryoung@bix.com
