Hi, We are about to start development of a financial program which caculates stuff based on stock values. The values are stored in a database which is going to be updated via the internet. This program is going to be run on personal computers (windowsNT/98). The client have to have a database locally on the computer, and just connect to the internet ( our server) and get the new, updated values. Can we use Informix to this? Or does Informix need a dedicated server to run the database? What kind of machine does informix require? We are going to use C++/qt to make GUI.
