Ah, so you're using I4GL 7.20 now. The error message files moved from $INFORMIXDIR/msg to $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/0333 as a side-effect of the change to using ESQL/C 7.24 (which is GLS aware, unlike the old version). If you need a quick-fix workaround before you finish recompiling all your executables, you could link the I4GL message files (4gl.iem, 4glusr.iem, forms.iem, etc) from the msg/en_us/0333 directory into the msg directory. But recompilation is a better solution. It would have helped if you said you'd just upgraded to 7.20; it might have jogged our collective memory cells in the right direction more quickly.
