Alter Fragment Problems with Serial8

Hi, I have a non-fragmented table that contains a serial8 column acting as the primary-key. When I attempt to consolidate space using 'Alter Fragment Init' the seed value for the serial8 column is reset and the engine tries to insert 1 as opposed to max(serial8 column)+1. This does not happen with serial columns (thank god). Is this a known bug? It is clearly not by design as the manual states that the engine will chose a next value using the lesser of SEED and (max(serial8 column)+1 ). -Brian
Do you have a case open for this?
