Hi Melvin, My opinion is not to use RAID, rather use disk mirroring within Informix. There has been debate about disk write performance with RAID 5. Also, if you want to use 7.x features like table fragmentation on a RAID array, you could set up a brilliant strategy only to find that the RAID manager completely undoes it. RAID with SE is a great option, but I'm skeptical about RAID and OnLine 5 and not at all happy about RAID with DSA.
