Thanks for everyone's help.... the problem is solved! Ray Kaminski was the first one to point me in the right direction (although several others did so as well). I was running the sqlexecd daemon, but NOT with the correct parameter that matched the sqlexec line in my SERVICES file. I would have posted this yesterday (it was working Tuesday morning) but our news server was full and not accepting posts....sorry. Thanks again!
