Hi, I've just encountered the fact that a table privilege can't be revoked or granted other then by the the granter. Even Informix user is not able to do this. Is this the way it is supposed to be ? I always thought user informix being superuser ( like root on the OS) and would have the highest privileges. rgds, Peter
Maybe you need to upgrade -- you can do REVOKE <privilege> ON <object> FROM <user> AS <grantor> if you have a sufficiently recent version of IDS. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@us.ibm.com) STSM, Informix Database Engineering, IBM Data Management Solutions 4100 Bohannon Drive, Menlo Park, CA 94025 Tel: +1 650-926-6921 Tie-Line: 630-6921 "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!" |---------+----------------------------> | | "Peter van Eck " | | | <pveck@bru-hub.dh| | | l.com> | | | Sent by: | | | forum.subscriber@| | | iiug.org | | | | | | | | | 03/14/2003 06:31 | | | AM | | | | |---------+----------------------------> >------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------| | | | To: ids@iiug.org | | cc: | | Subject: revoke privilege permission [714] | | | >------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------| Hi, I've just encountered the fact that a table privilege can't be revoked or granted other then by the the granter.
