Delphi and NCHAR - how?

Hi all, I have a problem in Delphi 1.0.2 <-> Informix Online 7.1 interaction. Delphi cannot recognize NCHAR/NVARCHAR data types (message "invalid data type in column"). Is there any method to make it operational? Any help would be appreciated. Leonid
