This was bug B15976 (which is related to bugs B3860, B4398, B14704, B14947 and B18719), which was coded in May 93 and shown to be fixed in version 4.12.UE1 and 6.00.UE1; it was probably fixed in 4.11.UC1. There are two main ways around this bug: (1) Don't interrupt during CONSTRUCT (2) Upgrade to 4.12.UE1 (or wait for 4.13.UC1, available soon).
