Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Is it possible to 'prepare' a connect statement
(e.g. EXEC SQL PREPARE from 'CONNECT TO stores7')
Our Informix Database (7.11) returns always SQL: -201: Syntax error occured
also the documentation (Informix Guide to SQL V7.1, Syntax) says in description
of command prepare: CONNECT, CLOSE DATABASE, OPEN DATEBASE, DISCONNECT etc
can only be prepared through a are singelton prepare.
Any help is highly appreciated...
