If I had a pound for every site I've been to that said "well, we needed disk 2 for these (irrelevant) Unix files, and disk three for those (irrelevant) Unix files, so basically we just gave Inf'mix the one drive for perormance reasons" ..... "Oh, but we don't use 4gl. We use ESQL/C - for performance reasons..." (This line is included as irony, BTW. I point this out in case you're American.) I fly out to a site that uses ESQL/C "for performance reasons" tomorrow. I'll be migrating a live OnLine installation from one box to another. They've had performance problems. I wonder what's going on there. akent@cix.compulink.co.uk (Andy Kent) ----------------------------------------------- Informix Database Specialist, Redland, Bristol, England.
