The most up-to-date recommendations are in: $INFORMIXDIR/release/en-us/0333/SERVERS_7.2 These are the recommendtations that I posted originally. They DO differ from the main documentation files for 7.1x, I have not looked in the 7.2x Performance Guide to see whether the docs have been updated to reflect the new recommendation. You can pick up dostats.ec, which I wrote, which implements these suggestions, with options. I is in the file that I uploaded to the IIUG software archives. Art S. Kagel
