How is it going ?....^^ I wanna ask about Database Driver Installation for Informix... (First, I am not good at english composiotion, so I wish your understand) I am using two servers which can support Informix DB & Perl Language... ==================================================================== 1. First Server (winners.hallym.ac.kr) Installation status : Informix Dynamic Server 7.24 O.S : Solaris 2.6 (alpha version) 2. The other (e3000.hallym.ac.kr) Installation status : perl 5.004.05 DBI 1.12 O.S : Solaris 2.5.1 (will be updated as soon as possible) ==================================================================== So, I wish to install DBD at e3000.hallym.ac.kr... by the way as far as I know, if I wanna make DBD at e3000, I should make installation (DBD;Informix) using Perl. But, I conflicted with unexpected error when execute command ( >perl Makefile.PL) ... the error contetns is as follow... =================================================================== Configuring DBD::Informix version 0.60... You are using DBI version 1.12 and Perl version 5.00405 Remember to actually read the README file! Using INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.24.UC8 from /home7/informix DBD::Informix doesn't check whether ODBC or Informix-CLI software is installed any more. It uses a home-brew odbctype.h instead. Testing whether your Informix test environment will work... . . . ================================================================== I am not sure how I should resolve problem like upper case.. Thanks to your reading about my case... I hope your help.....Have a good one !!!!

So, either your build worked but you didn't realise it, or you didn't include the error messages in your question which makes it kind of hard to debug the problem for you. However, if you have a problem, you should read the README file very carefully. It covers a lot of problems. Ensure that you can compile and run ESQL/C programs, that you have a database you can access (stores by default; you can set the environment to use alternatives), and that you are not using shared memory (olipcshm) connections. If you must use olipcshm, you will have to suppress the test (read the Makefile.PL; should be DBD_INFORMIX_NO_ESQLTEST) and expect the multiple connection (t/t??mconn.t) tests to fail. > I am not sure how I should resolve problem like upper case.. I'm not clear where there is a problem with upper case. > Thanks to your reading about my case... > > I hope your help.....Have a good one !!!! Strictly, you should be subscribed to and asking questions of the DBI Users mailing list, which has migrated to dbi-users@isc.org since I released the 0.60 version of DBD::Informix.
