NewEra: what's the code for linebreak

So long I have used the "file.writeLine()" to write lines to file. That works ok, but it's unnecessary writing 3 or 4 lines of "writeLine()" when you could use only one "file.write()". I tried the line below, but it didn't break the line. Can someone help me with this?
