Probably you isn't setting correctly your CLIENT_LOCALE on the client program or the value used there don't exists in a convert file. Look in $INFORMIXDIR/gls/lc11/cs_cz Your code page (cs_cz.8859-2) is 0x0390 To see what conversions are possible look in $INFORMIXDIR/gls/cv9 $ls -l 0390* -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 813 2008-10-28 03:21 0390016c.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1212 2008-10-28 03:21 03900354.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1282 2008-10-28 03:21 03900495.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1217 2008-10-28 03:21 039004e2.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1794 2008-10-28 03:21 0390e005.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1535 2008-10-28 03:21 0390e01c.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1241 2008-10-28 03:21 0390e027.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 1282 2008-10-28 03:21 0390e028.cvo -rw-r--r-- 1 informix informix 2820 2008-10-28 03:21 0390e030.cvo $egrep "(SOURCE|TARGET)_CODE" 0390* 0390016c.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=ISO Code Page 8859-2 0390016c.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=ASCII 7-Bit 03900354.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=ISO Code Page 8859-2 03900354.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=IBM Code Page 852 03900495.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=8859-2 03900495.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=8859-16 039004e2.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=ISO Code Page 8859-2 039004e2.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=Windows Code Page 1250 0390e005.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=8859-2 0390e005.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=unicode 0390e01c.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=8859-2 0390e01c.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=utf8 0390e027.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=ISO Code Page 8859-2 0390e027.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=Polish CSK 0390e028.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=ISO Code Page 8859-2 0390e028.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=Polish Code Page Mazovia 0390e030.cvo:SOURCE_CODESET=8859-2 0390e030.cvo:TARGET_CODESET=ISO-10646 Check what the value of your CLIENT_LOCALE , if is unset, try set to "unicode" . --- Em qua, 11/2/09, nezreli@gmail.com <nezreli@gmail.com> escreveu: De: nezreli@gmail.com <nezreli@gmail.com> Assunto: Re: connecting to Informix 11.5 from .NET error Para: informix-list@iiug.org Data: Quarta-feira, 11 de Fevereiro de 2009, 6:54 > Hi > > Try to set this enviroment variable in client side: GL_USEGLU=1 > > Vagner I have tried it but it didn't work. I have tried setting it in the same process, created it as user variable and then as system variable. Driver was not impressed. _______________________________________________ Informix-list mailing list Informix-list@iiug.org http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list Veja quais são os assuntos do momento no Yahoo! +Buscados http://br.maisbuscados.yahoo.com

I'm using Informix driver which comes with DB2 9.5 package. This driver uses DRDA protocol. As far as I know, this driver cannot accept CLIENT_LOCALE as a parameter and package doesn't come with setnet32 utility. As far as I know there is no way to specify what is my client_locale with this particular driver. CSDK 3.50 driver doesn't have this problem since I can set CLIENT_LOCALE either with setnet32 or directly in my connection string. Unfortunately, driver has other problems that renders him unusable.
