Use the INPUT ARRAY statement! INPUT ARRAY ... WITHOUT DEFAULTS BEFORE ROW EXIT INPUT END INPUT Of course, you will probably need a menu item which activates DISPLAY ARRAY code, so that the user can actually go into the array if the number of rows exceed what's displayed on screen. Which further means that you may want to provide an indicator of that (count of detail rows or message) On Thu, 06 Nov 1997 14:53:43 GMT, nfredsel@cornercap.com (Nelson Fredsell) wrote: >I want the end user to be able to thumb thru a set of records on >a master-detail screen using a menu (N-Next, P-Previous, etc.). > >When I move from one record to the next, the DISPLAY ARRAY >statement places the cursor in the detail section and won't >let me out until I hit the Accept key. > >I played with the EXIT DISPLAY option, but it didn't seem to >work w/o using an ON KEY statement first, which still requires >user interaction. > >In essence, I want to be able to hit the N key (Next) repeatedly to >move thru master records, one after another.
