The behavior is as described; entering criteria in the last field of the construct list can get core dumps on several System V R3 platforms, including the 386 UNIXes (AT&T, SCO, ISC). Ouch. This is fixed in the version 4.00.UG1 portmaster, so any version with the suffix numbered UG1 or higher (e.g. UG*, UH*, UJ* et al) will have this fixed. For example, the current version for SCO UNIX is 4.00.UH2, the one before it 4.00.UG2; neither has this bug. Anybody on a System V platform with 4GL version older than UG1 should be aware of this. (4.00 versions only; the older 1.10.03* versions never had this problem). The upcoming 4.10 version also has the fix. Hope this info helps, belated though it is... -- Alan S.
