Debian and RAM usage ...

Hello, We have a Debian VM with IFX 14.10xC8. When we run oninit the cache is correctly allocated and ipcs -a is ok and HTOP or vmstat gives us consistent RAM usage information. After several days of use, the memory does not move and everything is fine. On the other hand, if we activate an RSS then we see that debian's BUF/CACHE memory starts to be used up until it consumes all the available memory. We think that this is not directly linked to the oninit memory but that something is happening at the log transfer level between RSSs. Is this a behaviour linked to the OS and if so can we limit the size of this BUF/CACHE? Thank you for your advice ... ------------------------------ Garcia Benjamin ------------------------------
