I'm using Dynamic Server V7.3. I have heard it claimed that all calls to stored procedures go via a single thread. Can anyone verify or deny that claim?

Assuming, of course, that it is possible and makes sense to use multiple threads. -- # unrm / ksh: unrm: not found # man cpio Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Stored procedures are executed by your current SQLEXEC thread. Someone may be thinking of UDFs in UDO (Universal Server). In early versions there was one VP dedicated to executing DataBlades and UDFs (User Defined Functions). The newer versions this is still true for UDFs not written with multi-threading in mind, however, there is a defined procedure for making your UDFs parallelizable so they can be run in multiple threads.
