OAT IDS 12.1

I installed OAT and IDS 12.1 end OAT not connect to the server because show this message: La conexión ha fallado: -951 [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]Incorrect password or user informix@ven3luap01_new is not known on the database server. The user informix and password are correct. I tried connect directly with dbaccess and Informix User and the error is the same. But if put user and password equal at null, then connect good. I dont know where I have put or configure this. Have you connected to the machine as "informix"? Does it work? Do you have special/weird characters in your password? In order to solve this you must: 1- connected to the server as user informix (or root if it has the Informix environment) run "onstat -m" immediately after another connection attempt using user/password. This will show you the error from the engine perspective. For security reasons there are some errors on the server side that return -951 to the client. The error is "masked" on purpose, so that a possible attacker doesn't receive too much information 2- The error you'll see will most likely be -952 or -951. If it's -952 your password is not being accepted. Try to login on the server (ssh/telnet). If it's -951 than your account may be locked... but I doubt... in that case the local connection without password should also fail. 3- You don't mention the OS you're using... But if the error is -952 and you can connect (ssh/telnet) it's possible that your system is using some encryption method that does not match the one used by OS function crypt() (which is what Informix uses) But please collect more data: - onstat -m output after a failed attempt - whether or not you can connect using ssh/telnet - the OS you're using - If you're connecting the system to an ldap or something - the kind of Informix installation you've done and if you used root or Informix...
