Q: Cannot connect to Informix database

Hello! I think I have tried all possible ways to connect to my Informix database, but it simply won't work. I am new to Informix and jdbc, so that might be the problem. This is my server settings: Solaris 5.5.1 Informix 7.24 On my server I start the rmiserver $INFORMIXDIR/lib/java/bin/rmistart.sh on my client I then try: con = DriverManager.getConnection(url,user,passwd); where user,passwd is my username and password on the server machine. To this my machine always replies: SQLException: XIX000:-952:User's password is not correct for the database server. I have also tried to specify a password in the sysusers table, with no more luck. Still the above mentioned error. Can it be any server settings? Does anybody have any help or tips I would greatly appreciate it. regards / Fredrik Fyring
