RE: Ztools - any good ?

They are definitely worth a look. I use them primarily for loading and unloading data, but there are many more useful utilities in the package. I wanted to use them for the utility that documents databases in HTML, but our databases contain hundreds of tables, and the HTML files that are generated are too large to be read in by the browser. I understand the tools have been bought by BMC and renamed to something else, so it remains to be seen what will happen to them. Yes, you do have to have Perl 5 to run ztools. -Johnny ---------- From: informix-list-owner To: informix-list Subject: Ztools - any good ? Date: Wednesday, October 16, 1996 2:42AM Hi people , Has anybody ever used Ztools ? Any good or it is not worth it ? Do you really have to have Pearl to play with them? Any response will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Ilya Bogorad / DHL Systems / London/UK
