problems with table locking

I have two questions. I am running informix online and I have some tables locked (I queried the syslocks table in sysmaster). The first question is how do I remove the locks? The second questions is is this why whenever I attempt to exit the dbaccess utility, it hangs? (I have several databases; only 2 of them have locks. Yet dbaccess hangs whenever I exit regardless of which database I have accessed).
