Mailing list [Was Re: Ports]

Walt, Periodically there is a problem when a mailing list subscriber gets his email account terminated. This seems to result in the email being bounced back to the original news group poster. It may be that this only happens with a small number of misconfigured mail systems but it's a pain. In order for this to happen it would appear that the poster's email address is being picked up as a return address by the remote mail system rather than the mailing list's input address. Would it be possible for the poster's address to be mangled in some way (e.g. "Ian Goddard <igoddard@netcomuk.co.uk>") so that, with a little luck, the bounced message is itself failed and bounced back to the postmaster on the ex-subscriber's system.
