Maybve you can write some UDR in Java... IDS 9.3 could do that... and in java you could handle XML more easily.

My problem:-
I have a maintenance program written in Informix 4gl that needs to
send the data changes (extracted from the database) to another system.
As an intermediate step an XML file needs to be produced allowing
another process to format and transfer the data to the remote system.
Having had a look at the WebExplode UDR to generate the XML doesn't
seem to fit well with what we want to do. So what are my options?
