Informatica Peformance with Informix 7.31

If you happen to use Informatica on Informix, Kindly share your experiences. At our site, we have Informatica installed on Sun 2.6 and the target is IDS 7.31. We get a throughput of 900records/second as againt 12,000records/second on Oracle 8. I did a straight insert into Oracle and Informix and got Informix to do 5000 inserts in 9 seconds as against 8seconds for oracle, which leads me to beleive that there has to be something very OBVIOUS with Informatica that could cause such mammoth differences.
