It's an SQL command that initiates fragmentation across dbspaces or
removes fregmentation from a table. However, if you use it on an
unfragmented table so:
ALTER FRAGMENT ON table1 INIT in dbspace1
(not completely sure about the syntax)
and the (unfragmented) table is already in dbspace1, it simply has the
effect of re-building the table in dbspace1. Allied to a
ALTER TABLE MODIFY NEXT SIZE
statement, it will de-fragment the table.
If the table was previosuly in dbspace2, the ALTER FRAGMENT statement
will move it to dbspace1.
