Its exactly what it says , can not write to the transaction log ,
is the partition where the log is located full ? , does the
log file have the right UNIX permissions . Or maybe you
did not open a log for you database , to do that in SE ,
close the dbs then run the following :
START DATABASE database-name WITH LOG IN "pathname" ,
the end of the pathname must be a file ex :
start database db_name with log in "/production/data1/log"
You must have a log to issue begin , commit work .... ( transactions )
