Online 5.01 UD3 error -458 using ESQL/C. Why?

Informix Gurus, We have an application written in ESQL/C using Online 5.01 UD3 on an IBM RS6000 AIX 3.2.5. Every once in a while we get an error 458 (which is a long transaction abort). I checked the log space, and there is plenty free. There were no hardware errors reported. We have this application at several different sites without any problems. The only thing unique about this site is that all the chunks are mirrored using Informix mirroring (as opposed to OS mirroring). Even the logs are mirrored, and the mirrors are not full either. I would appreciate it if somebody could point out what was wrong here. Any and all help on this matter appreciated. Thanx, Raj.
