dbload

This is a newbie question. I am using the dbload utility. I am creating
the command or .ctl file and want the path of the file using an
environment variable. If I type: FILE "/path/filename" this works, but
it does not work using an environment variable(ex. FILE "$NAME"). This
is a pretty basic question, but would appreciate any help.
Thanks

Lynn,
I have used the sed command to do the same thing as using a variable in the
.ctl file.
In the .cft file there would be a variable such as FILPATH. Using sed in
the load scritpt and a path varible passsed the the load script the FILPATH
variable could be changed to the passed in varible in the .ctl file.
Hope this helps.
