Hello, Using INFORMIX-OnLine Workgroup Server 7.12 running under Windows NT Workstation 4.0, I would like to be able to create databases that accept French characters (such as accented characters, ''', ...) in CHAR(...) attributes. I have read that I needed to set the LANG environment variable to the name of a "good" "locale" file to enable NLS; but I can't find one. There is none in the "$INFORMIX\\gls\\lc11" directory. In fact it seems that they have not been installed. In the Release notes, they say : "The locales must be installed separately after installing the OnLine Workgroup Server. To install the locales, double-click Setup.exe from the \\locales directory, and follow the directions on the screen." But I was not able to find any "\\locales" directory nor the "Setup.exe" file. Could anyone help me - find the "locale" files, - or find how to install them, - or find another solution? Thanks in advance. Francois VELIN fveulin@lnet.fr
