Re: UPDATE STATISTICS Problem

* Does anybody out there think that these types of problems (or perceptions of a problem) are a little tooo familiar? * Does anybody think that a major problem Informix has is that update stats is so influentual to performance but obviously a little obscure for mear mortals to understand? In my book this is a number ONE PROBLEM - and Informix needs to understand they are not communicating to their user base... Sorry to break in on a thread - but these problems are painfull not only to those of us with a problem but to those of us who think we understand... pretty bloody obvious to me that the Documentation is obscure - and in an area that has enough smoke & spells to make an experienced Druid wish he was still back in the dim dark ages when Oracle was the answer, the only answer...
