Help on rowid (SE 5.0)

Dear Informix Friends, In INFOMIX SE 5.0 : Whenever I do a partial scan or total scan on a table, whether it will also scan the rowid's for which there are no records and degrade the performance? I would also like to know how the rowid behaves when a record is deleted from the table.
