Hi, I have create a new alarm program and I have used cases from the original alarm program. I set cases 20,22 and 23 . I manage to reproduce alarm for the cases 22 and 23 BUT I didn't manage to reproduce an alarm for the case 20 which is "Logical Logs are Full" . I have stopped the automatic backup of the logical logs to fill up all the logical logs and the case 20 doesn't executed . Is it something that I don't do right? What is the purpose of case 20 ("Logical Logs are Full"). Do you have any examples of alarm programs ? Hello.
My recommendation to reproduce this error, would be:
1) let only the minimum amount of 3 logical-logs, with a small size (eg: 50 MB
each)
2) check your DYNAMIC_LOGS onconfig, it must be set to 2, change it to 1 (or
even 0). This can be done dynamically, if you are using 11.70+ engine, through
onmode -wm/wf3) then you might easily fill you logical-logs, with a long batch job running
Hope it helps.
Regards.

You want to capture the alarm code 23, logical log completed, instead and
backup each log as it fills. The delivered log_full.sh script can be used
for that unchanged if you are using onbar for backups, if you want to use
ontape, I have a script you can use, just email me directly your version
(pre-version 11.xx you need a different script than you do for v11.10 and
later) and I'll send it to you.
