Re: 4GL Calling Stored Procedures

Steve Maybe I've not fully understood your question, but from what I gather you want a set of data from a stored procedure that you will process in a 4GL program. The way to do it is to make the procedure RETURN the values WITH RESUME and have a loop of some kind (FOR, WHILE, FOREACH) in the 4GL program that will call the SP repeatedly and get the values. Is there a simpler way to execute the procedure and return them into my 4GL variables. I tried explicitly calling the procedure from the 4GL script with "EXCEUTE PROCEDURE get_seq_num()" but 4GL would complain b/c EXECUTE was already defined. Is there another syntax or method for me to do what I want? Any help would be appreciated. Please, send e-mail to stevem@cstech.com, as I do not check this newsgroup that frequently. Thanks, --Steve
