Re: Why no union in view select statement?

ANSI SQL-89 does not require UNION views. Informix 5 and 6 do not allow it. The 7.1 manual also says it is not allowed. It is a common extension of ANSI SQL, but it is an extension. SQL-92 does require UNION views. Informix only claims entry-level conformance to SQL-92, which does not require UNION views.
