Does anyone have experience of rootdbs corruption in the following environment when the system is rebooted (/etc/reboot or power fail) ? Platform: HP 9000/715 Operating System: HP-UX 9.01 Informix-Online 5.01.UD3 The rootdbs (170MB) was stored on a raw partition of a 525MB disk. The disk was partitioned with sdsadmin(1) to release the remainer of the disk for standard Unix file system use. The SDS array comprised a single disk. Would we be better dedicating the complete disk to the rootdbs i.e. avoiding the use of SDS ? Is the rootdbs generally prone to corruption even when stored on a raw device ? Any responses appreciated Regards, Martin Schultz
