we are (still) using online 5.x, 4gl 4.x, aix 4.2.x. i'm considering using gnu c compiler with 4gl instead of ibm' native c compiler. are there any special requirements? is resulting program as good (fast) as the one compiled with ibm's native c compiler? any other things to think about? -- Goran Domazet Dabar informatika tel/fax: 48 10 344 Odjel podrske korisnicima Amruseva 10/6, Zagreb support: 433 024 gdomazet@dabar.open.hr dabar@dabar.open.hr

You may need to worry about -fwritable-strings; other than that, GCC should be fine. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.62 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
