holding window open in 4gl

We want to display a window in 4gl while continuing data entry in other areas of the screen. We have tried it several ways but can't keep the display window open while we are entering data in the main screen. TIA aloysius@karzsys.com

WITHOUT WAITING to execute an external program to display the window. You could alsp have such a "window service" program running from the beginning reading commands and text to display from a pipe which will eliminate the delay of starting one up. Art S. Kagel
