Evaluating Informix 7.1

We are currently evaluating Informix 7.1 and would like to hear about other user's experiences. If you have any information in regards to the following questions, we would really appreciate your response. 1. Performance Issues a) Multi-processor i) Do you experience performance degradation running with less than 4 processors? b) How efficient is the relay module? c) Does the use of p-code seriously slow down the response? d) Compare Informix 5.0 to 7.1 -> Speed? Robustness? 2. Migration a) Is anybody using the Fourgen form and report writers with 7.1? How difficult was it to migrate your applications? b) What are the notable 4GL syntax differences between Informix 5.0 and 7.1? 3. Advantages a) Have you seen substantial speed and/or integrity improvements in 7.1? What version of Informix were you using previously?
