Infinite Recovery Help Needed (Online 5.0)

We are having a problem with Online 5.0 - all the logical logs are full and the system does not want to get out of recovery mode. Currently our tape devices are pointed to /dev/null. How can we get Online to stop recovering and start working? We don't care if the logged transaction is lost, but we would like to preserve the current data (ie, no drop database).
