does anyone know what is meant by "out-of-row data"? The reference is in the ER doc, but I can't find a formal definition anywhere. Thanks in advance, lest
This consists of column data which is not physically contained in the r= ow. That would include BLOB, CLOB, BYTE, TEXT, and some UDTS. The UDT can also be called 'multi-rep'. That is the term used for vari= able lengh UDTs where they are contained in the row if small, or elsewhere (= for instance smartblobs) if large.
