this question I ask several days ago, but not resolve, so rewrite again,:-) I have a production environment, 6 temp dbspaces in use which have 4G for each, 24G total. OS: HP-UX IDS: IDS 10.00 FC8 temp dbspace: tempdbs01,tempdbs02,tempdbs03,tempdbs04,tempdbs05,tempdbs06 In my enviroment, when several sessions run at then sam time which have sort、left join or group by etc, need temporary dbspace, the 6 temp dbspace can be used parallel, but the single session can use temp dbspace only one, when the dbspace use rate reach 100%, then prompt : not enough disk space, why the single session cann't use the other one or more dbspace; How can I do this, I want in my query, I can use temp dbspcae for all?
Hi
my experience is that if a sessions needs a lot of temporary dbspace all
tempdbspaces fill up simultaneously.
Don't know if it is the reason that is doesn't works for you: Did you allow
pdq in the onconfig? In the onconfig files here PDQ ist set like this:
MAX_PDQPRIORITY 100
DS_MAX_QUERIES 50
DS_TOTAL_MEMORY 300000
DS_MAX_SCANS 1048576
DS_NONPDQ_QUERY_MEM 128
It's only a guess but I hope it helps.
Regards,
Reinhard.

I open pdq already.
set pdqpriority 100;select ....;
in the onconfig file
the parameters are setted
and ds total memory set 4G
onstat -g mgm monitor the pdq use normally.
Hello:
I suppose you have a query like this:
select ....
from ...
where ...
into temp temp_table
Try to add this to the "into temp" clause:
into temp temp_table WITH NO LOG ;
If you create the temp table first (with "create table"), add the "WITH NO
LOG" at the end of the sentence "create table"
