Re: Informix "Data Director for Java"

> I am realy interested as we are now starting with Java development. > Hi Nils You may be interested to know that Informix and Symantec havea strategic alliance for Symantec's Java products and Informix have adopted Visual CAfe Pro as their preferred Java development tool. We will be bundling Universal Server with VC Pro in a forthcoming release. We have just released a Preview patch of our native driver for Informix that will be part of dbANYWHERE, a 100% JDBC compatible middleware product with native drivers for major SQL databases. dbANYWHERE is included in Visual Cafe Pro a RAD tool for Java which provides drag & drop database development. You can download a trial version of dbANYWHERE (not yet with the native Informix driver but you can use ODBC) from the website below where you can also get a trial of Visual Cafe. -- Paul White - IPM Symantec Internet Tools The opinions expressed herein are those of the author and not of Symantec corporation *Visual Cafe Trial Version & JDK 1.1 Previews now available* Website: http://cafe.symantec.com FTP site: ftp://itools.symantec.com Newsgroup: news://service.symantec.com
