> > } please share your comments with we on the following subjects: > > } > > } - Overall experience > > } - Migration 2.2 to 3.0 > > } - 3-tier applications: PC, applications server(s), database server(s) my overall experience (relative to ne2x) of ne3 is that it's a better development environment because they've somewhat integrated the app builder/painter, but they've also added this repository thing that, in my opinion, just isn't needed and has been a source of headache. i've had to reinstall 3 times already because of unrecoverable repository errors. the bottom line, the new enviornment is just a facade (sp?). while some problems with 2x have been fixed, others remain. full ocx support will not arrive until 3.1. i didn't use the migration tool because of things i've heard. we opened and saved all wifs and created the project/components and that worked well enough. the positives? connectivity. this is still the best, fastest way to connect a client to online and pump data out. -jason
